EWM currently owns over 10 U.S. patents and over 10  patents outside the U.S.. EWM also has additional U.S. and international patent applications pending and other provisionals filed. EWM expects to file 1-2 more patent provisionals per year as it continues to develop new technology.  Given that process patents are fairly new in the water arena (most patents granted to date are for equipment), EWM believes it is more than five years ahead of all other companies in this space. EWM continues to invent to maintain this advantage. EWM also holds the U.S. trademark to Full Recovery Desalination®.

EWM has not invented any new equipment as part of its cutting-edge technology. Instead, the Company’s patents consist of unique configurations of proven, off-the-shelf components to produce its targeted results.  EWM’s technology includes process patents that create innovative process designs using equipment produced by others as well as trade secrets and experience-based knowledge. By using already-proven, commercially available components with performance guarantees, the Company’s technological risk is significantly lower than other technology applications. Additionally, EWM benefits as new and improved technologies become available by integrating them into the Company’s process designs as they become commercially proven.
